Lets lift Puerto Rico contributing time and money to help the elders in need. Make your dontaion today!

Over 23,678 families, with elderly, have benefited from food and basic necessities thanks to initiatives led by Fundación Dorada.

As the only nonprofit in Puerto Rico focusing exclusively on this work, we have been able to make a lasting difference in the lives of Puerto Rico’s most vulnerable residents. Our team is committed to serving our friends and neighbors who need us, and we’re counting on your support to help us continue this work.

Don Enrique lives alone and the income from Social Security is not enough. Thanks to our donations, you now have new household items.

Don Agustín Flores, 69, lived in difficult conditions with an income of only $ 280 per month. He needed to rebuild his house and he had the materials but he just could not. Our volunteers helped him in the reconstruction.

Doña María, from Corozal, also received the donation of a washing machine donated by Sam’s Club.

Fundación Dorada was founded in 2004

to meet the growing the needs of elderly Puerto Ricans living in poverty or subhuman conditions. Since that time, we’ve impacted hundreds of lives by improving their basic living conditions and their homes. We’ve also assisted over 30 elderly care centers to ensure members who are alone or abandoned can be helped in some way.

At Fundación Dorada

we seek to transform the lives of the island’s elderly and disabled by increasing the commitment, understanding and respect of all Puerto Ricans for this important demographic.

Our organization’s initiatives

include individual projects and activities in the community, thanks to alliances with other non-profits in Puerto Rico, as well as to personal donations from individuals and families who wish to positively impact these communities.

Fundación Dorada

consists of a Board of Directors, diverse committees and a group of dedicated volunteers that make it possible to evaluate and assist with the petitions we receive. Designated personnel in the organization evaluate each case to determine the real need, efficiently channeling and distributing available resources to the people who need it most.

In 2012,

our organization was granted state tax exemption, and in 2016, Fundación was approved for federal tax exemption as a 501(c)(3). This allows individuals as well as corporations to support our mission through tax-deductible contributions.

What we offer:

Fundación Dorada helps elderly Puerto Ricans with a wide range of social, psychological and hygienic needs, including but not limited to:

  • Secure and sterile bathrooms

  • Handicapped-friendly adjustable beds, wheelchairs or walking canes
